Tacos Dorados de Queso Panela

1. Slice Cacique Panela into strips (you should get about 20)
2. Wrap the tortillas in a damp paper towel. Warm them up in the microwave for 1-2 minutes. Alternatively, you can warm them up on a Comal for 30 seconds on each side.
3. Roll one strip of Cacique Panela into every tortilla. To help them stay secure, you can close the tacos with a toothpick.
4. Warm up oil for 1-2 minutes on medium heat.
5. Add the tacos to the hot oil and cook for 1-2 minutes on each side or until they are golden brown.
6. Add the tacos to a plate lined with a napkin to absorb the excess oil.
7. When it is time to assemble, add 4-5 tacos to a plate. Add your toppings of choice. My favorite toppings are: 1/2 cup shredded lettuce, 1-2 tbsp Cacique Crema Mexicana Agria, 1 oz Cacique’s Ranchero brand Queso Fresco and Cacique Homestyle Salsa to taste.
